In a quiet village surrounded by rolling hills, there lived a young man named Yaw. He was a hardworking farmer, known for his dedication and integrity. But despite his efforts, life was a constant struggle. The crops were failing, and the debts were piling up. Yaw felt like he was fighting a losing battle.

One evening, as he sat on his porch, staring at the barren fields, Yaw whispered a prayer. “God, I don’t know what to do. I’ve tried everything, but nothing seems to work. Please, show me the way.”

The next morning, Yaw attended a gathering in the village square. An elderly man named Matt, known for his wisdom, was speaking. He shared a verse from Proverbs 8:35“For those who find Me find life and receive favour from the Lord.”

“Wisdom is more valuable than gold,” Matt said. “When we seek God’s wisdom, He guides us and blesses us with His favour.”

Yaw felt a spark of hope. He realised that he had been relying on his own strength instead of seeking God’s wisdom.

Yaw decided to take a step of faith. He began each day by reading a chapter of Proverbs and praying for wisdom. He also sought advice from Matt and other wise elders in the village.

One day, as he prayed, an idea came to him. “What if I try a different crop—one that’s better suited to this soil?” he thought.

Yaw planted the new crop, and to his amazement, it thrived. The harvest was abundant, and he was able to pay off his debts and even save some money.

“Thank You, Lord,” Yaw whispered, tears of gratitude filling his eyes. “For giving me the wisdom to find a solution and for blessing me with Your favour.”

Years later, Yaw’s farm had become a model of success. He often shared his story with others, encouraging them to seek God’s wisdom and trust in His favour.

One evening, as he stood in his fields, watching the sunset, Yaw opened his Bible to Proverbs 8:35 and read aloud: “For those who find Me find life and receive favour from the Lord.”

“Thank You, Lord,” he whispered. “For Your wisdom, Your favour, and the abundant life You’ve given me.”

Seeking God’s wisdom leads to life and favour. When we trust in His guidance and follow His ways, He blesses us with solutions, success, and His abundant love. As Proverbs 8:35 reminds us, those who find wisdom find life and receive favour from the Lord.

“Heavenly Father, I come to You today, asking for Your wisdom. When I face challenges, remind me to seek Your guidance and trust in Your favour. Help me to walk in Your ways and to honour You in all that I do. Thank You for being a God who gives wisdom and blesses those who seek You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
