In a quiet coastal town, there lived a woman named Grace. She was a talented musician, known for her beautiful voice and heartfelt songs. But lately, life had been difficult. Her husband had lost his job, and they were struggling to make ends meet. Grace’s music, once a source of joy, now felt like a distant memory.

One evening, as Grace sat at her piano, staring at the keys, she felt a wave of sadness. “God, where are You in all of this?” she whispered. “I don’t know how to keep going.”

The next morning, Grace attended a church service at Stacey Bushes Meeting Place, Briar Hill, hoping for a word of encouragement. The lady pastor spoke about Psalm 92:1“It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to Your name, O Most High.”

“Gratitude changes our perspective,” the lady pastor said. “When we focus on God’s faithfulness, even in hard times, we find strength and hope.”

Grace felt a stirring in her heart. She realised that she had been so focused on her problems that she had forgotten to thank God for His blessings.

Grace decided to take a step of faith. She began each day by writing down three things she was grateful for. At first, it was hard to find things to list, but as she persisted, her heart began to change.

She also started playing her piano again, not for performances but as an act of worship. “Thank You, Lord,” she would sing. “For Your love, Your faithfulness, and Your presence in my life.”

One day, Grace received an unexpected call from a local café. They were hosting a community event and wanted her to perform. Grace hesitated but felt God nudging her to say yes.

The event was a success, and Grace’s music touched many hearts. People approached her afterwards, sharing how her songs had encouraged them. “Your music is a gift,” one woman said. “Thank you for sharing it.”

Grace felt a sense of purpose she hadn’t felt in years. “Thank You, Lord,” she whispered. “For reminding me that my music can bring glory to You.”

Years later, Grace’s music had become a source of hope and inspiration for her community. She often performed at church events and community gatherings, using her talent to glorify God and encourage others.

One evening, as she prepared to sing at a worship night, Grace opened her Bible to Psalm 92:1 and read aloud: “It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to Your name, O Most High.”

“Thank You, Lord,” she whispered. “For Your faithfulness, Your love, and the gift of music. May my life always be a song of praise to You.”

Gratitude and worship transform our perspective, reminding us of God’s faithfulness even in difficult times. When we give thanks and sing praises, we find strength, hope, and purpose. As Psalm 92:1 reminds us, it is good to give thanks to the Lord.

“Heavenly Father, I come to You today, grateful for Your faithfulness and love. Teach me to give thanks in all circumstances and to sing praises to Your name. When life feels overwhelming, remind me of Your goodness and help me to trust in Your promises. Thank You for being a God who is always with me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
