In the village of Stacey Bushes, nestled between two mountains, lived a man named Caleb. He was a farmer, known for his diligence and careful planning. Caleb worked hard to ensure his crops grew each year, but he often struggled with trusting God fully.
Caleb believed in God, but only when he could see clear signs of provision. When the rain came at the right time, when the harvest was good, or when his efforts produced results, he praised God. But in times of drought or uncertainty, Caleb often doubted, relying more on his own strength than on God’s promises.
One evening, Lady Pastor Lisa, the leader of the village church at the Stacey Bushes Meeting Place where they met every Sunday at 10:30am, visited Caleb. She noticed the worry etched on his face.
“Caleb, why do you look so burdened?” she asked.
“I’m not sure if my crops will survive this season,” Caleb admitted. “The rains have been late, and I don’t know if I can recover.”
LP Lisa opened her Bible and read Psalm 78:41:
“Yes, again and again they tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel.”
She looked up and said, “Caleb, the Israelites doubted God’s power, even after He delivered them from Egypt and provided for them in the wilderness. They limited what He could do in their lives because of their lack of trust. Are you doing the same?”
Caleb was stunned. “I never thought of it like that,” he said quietly.
That night, Caleb couldn’t stop thinking about the verse. He remembered how God had been faithful in the past—how He had provided for his family during tough seasons and how He had blessed the village through both good times and bad.
Yet, Caleb realized that he often doubted God’s ability to intervene in his current struggles. He had been placing limits on an unlimited God, letting his fear and doubt overshadow his faith.
“Lord,” Caleb prayed, “forgive me for doubting You. I don’t want to limit what You can do in my life. Help me to trust You fully, even when I can’t see the way forward.”
The next morning, Caleb decided to make a change. Instead of fretting over what he couldn’t control, he committed to trusting God with his farm, his future, and his fears.
He began each day with prayer, asking God to guide him and provide for his needs. He also started sharing his testimony with others in the village, encouraging them to trust God’s power and promises.
One day, as Caleb worked in his fields, dark clouds gathered overhead. Rain began to pour, soaking the dry soil. The much-needed rain revitalized his crops, and the harvest that season was more abundant than he had expected.
As Caleb stood in the rain, he lifted his hands and praised God. “You are the Holy One of Israel,” he said aloud. “I will never limit what You can do again.”
Caleb’s story became a lesson for the entire village. LP Lisa often reminded them, “God’s power is limitless, but our doubt can block His blessings. When we trust Him fully, we open the door for Him to work miracles in our lives.”
Caleb’s faith continued to grow, and he became known as a man who trusted God in every season—rain or shine.
May you never limit the power of God in your life. When doubt creeps in, may He remind you of His faithfulness and His ability to do far more than you could ever imagine. Trust Him fully, for He is the Holy One of Israel, and His power knows no bounds.

Heavenly Father, forgive me for the times I have doubted Your power and limited what You can do in my life. Help me to trust You completely, knowing that You are able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all I could ask or think. Open my heart to Your limitless power, and teach me to walk in faith, even when the way forward seems unclear. Amen.”
