In the lively city of Milton Keynes, there was a young woman named Lisa. She was ambitious and driven, her heart set on making a meaningful impact in the world. With her intelligence and charm, doors of opportunity frequently opened for her. But as bright as these opportunities seemed, there was often a catch—a demand for compromise, a quiet expectation to silence her convictions, or a subtle nudge to conform.

Lisa had grown up with a strong faith, and she carried 2 Corinthians 6:14-18 in her heart:

“Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?”

Lisa’s heart sank. She wanted this opportunity—it was everything she had worked for—but the thought of silencing what mattered most to her felt like a betrayal of her faith.

That night, as she wrestled with the decision, she opened her Bible and read 2 Corinthians 6 again. The words leapt off the page: “And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God;“

Lisa prayed, “Lord, give me the courage to walk away from anything that asks me to silence my faith. Remind me that Your ‘well done’ outshines anything this world can offer.”

The next morning, Lisa returned to the boardroom, her heart pounding. She knew what she had to say.

May you stand firm in your faith, knowing that His approval is eternal, His promises are unshakable, and His rewards are beyond anything the world can give.
